Very cold but lovely and sunny here today. Have the housework done, just a bit of ironing to go!
How's your day going?
I have noticed, since I have been back blogging again, that so many people are NOT blogging anymore. Is blogging dying out!! I hope not, but need to take part of the blame for neglecting my blog. It's such a shame when a challenge blog closes down. We really need to support them more!
Let's do this!!

I had a lovely email yesterday to say I was chosen as part of a design team for a company. I am so excited about the new challenges ahead of me and can't wait to tell you about it. But you will have to wait another wee while lol.
I'm back from our wee mini break, and had a wonderful time with hubby. Weather was cold but beautifully sunny and we had a lovely hotel room too.

Snow folk!

Our November challenge over at STAMPING SENSATIONS is now up and running and this month it's all about
ONE LAYER CHRISTMAS

This month we have an amazing prize up for grabs
In fact a first and second prize sponsored by

This month I got my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens out again to do a bit of watercolouring for my background. I am not one for doing single layer cards so this was a challenge but I did enjoy getting messy again.
I stamped my Molly Blooms snowmen stamp using memento black ink then carefully added my blue spectrum noir glitter pen around the edges of the stamped area.
I spread the blue glitter pen ink, using a broad brush soaked in water, across the card to the edges. I then added splodges of water while the ink was still wet and after letting it soak slightly I mopped up the excess with a paper towel, which gave me the lighter parts. I filled these with hand drawn snowflakes using a white gel pen.
The snowmen have been coloured using my promarkers and a bit of glitter glue.
I then finished the card with some faux stitching using the white gel pen.
What you think? I'm pretty pleased with it. I do love this technique which I saw Sheena Douglas do.

Right that's me for a few days. Hope you get time to enter our challenge this month.
Enjoy your day.

Fairy Birthday Wishes

I'm sharing a card I made for a little 8 year old who loves fairies and animals.

The papers are from my paper scraps.
It has been coloured using promarkers with a bit of glitter for good measure!

We are heading off again on Sunday for a 3 day break in Donegal . So looking forward to getting time to relax and read my book!!
Hope you all enjoy your weekend and thanks for dropping by.

Money bags!

Have you been in our top 5?

As we were getting our new door in today I had a little time to spend in the craft room and decided to get some Christmas money bags ready.
I love making these. They are so well suited to my Penny Black stamps which are a bit small for card making.
I have used my promarkers to colour them in but if you are going to try these make sure and put a piece of card inside in case the colour goes through to the back.

So that's me started with Christmas, hopefully I'll get a few cards made this week.

How's everyone doing?
I have had a busy week crafting and then had a lovely day out to Blackrock. A lovely seaside town about an hours drive from home. The weather was kind to us and it was a very enjoyable day.
We are trying to get away at least one day a week. I have been saving rocks from the beach from each place we visit and the jar is filling up nicely.
Let's hope this mild weather continues for another while!
Have a good week everyone and thanks for dropping by!
