Oh Baubles!

Happy Saturday! I'm here with another Christmas card using this beautiful die from Tutti Designs called

It cuts like a dream each time and is so versatile and beautiful.

Today I have layered it up and sparkled with gilding flakes!

So first I cut the panel in red card.
I then traced around the baubles onto plain white card with my pencil.

I filled in the baubles with glue and added gilding flakes.

I cut out these baubles and glued behind the red panel.

I then cut around the baubles and bows, and added 3d foam to the back of the baubles.
Again I cut the panel, but in white this time.

I popped the red baubles on top and stuck the whole panel onto white card.

I stamped a sentiment and then cut around the panel leaving a small border.

I matted and layered on to red card, then white embossed card for my finished project.
The gilding flakes look much better in real life but I hope you can see what I achieved
with this beautiful die.

I was lucky enough to be asked to be guest designer at
for this month and I was given this lovely image
 Winter Fae by Morgan's Artworld,
 to play with.
I decided to go with an easel card.
For convenience, I printed the digi paper directly onto the card. Saves any faffing about.

Our snow has finally melted away but it's just started again though more sleet than snow. So hopefully won't hang around this time.
My craft room is very nearly sorted, just trying to get rid of lots of old stuff and sort the much used into an easy to reach area lol. Exhausting but glad to be doing it.
Have a good week and keep warm, or cool, depending on where you live.

Snow is finally clearing away thanks to a fall of rain. Not as cold though, thank goodness.
I have two more items to get on my Christmas list, everything else is wrapped and cards are written out and posted. Feeling very proud of myself lol.
In the midst of all that we have been moving all my craft stuff into a smaller room now that I am downsizing a bit. We have been at it 4 days straight now and beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. Now I will be spending time trying to remember where I put everything!!

Very cold but lovely and sunny here today. Have the housework done, just a bit of ironing to go!
How's your day going?
I have noticed, since I have been back blogging again, that so many people are NOT blogging anymore. Is blogging dying out!! I hope not, but need to take part of the blame for neglecting my blog. It's such a shame when a challenge blog closes down. We really need to support them more!
Let's do this!!

I had a lovely email yesterday to say I was chosen as part of a design team for a company. I am so excited about the new challenges ahead of me and can't wait to tell you about it. But you will have to wait another wee while lol.
I'm back from our wee mini break, and had a wonderful time with hubby. Weather was cold but beautifully sunny and we had a lovely hotel room too.

Snow folk!

Our November challenge over at STAMPING SENSATIONS is now up and running and this month it's all about

This month we have an amazing prize up for grabs
In fact a first and second prize sponsored by

This month I got my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens out again to do a bit of watercolouring for my background. I am not one for doing single layer cards so this was a challenge but I did enjoy getting messy again.
I stamped my Molly Blooms snowmen stamp using memento black ink then carefully added my blue spectrum noir glitter pen around the edges of the stamped area.
I spread the blue glitter pen ink, using a broad brush soaked in water, across the card to the edges. I then added splodges of water while the ink was still wet and after letting it soak slightly I mopped up the excess with a paper towel, which gave me the lighter parts. I filled these with hand drawn snowflakes using a white gel pen.
The snowmen have been coloured using my promarkers and a bit of glitter glue.
I then finished the card with some faux stitching using the white gel pen.
What you think? I'm pretty pleased with it. I do love this technique which I saw Sheena Douglas do.

Right that's me for a few days. Hope you get time to enter our challenge this month.
Enjoy your day.
